A Plumbers Wife!

Gripped

If you've never read this book, I recommend it. Corin read it last week in about 3 hours. I started reading it when I went to bed last night about midnight, and had to force myself to stop reading at 1 a.m. - half way through the book. Utterly gripped by it. So much so that I have come in from work, ploughed through the stuff I needed to do, got my blip done, so that I can finish it tonight.

Its the book that Hellraiser is based upon apparently - never seen the film as I am not into things of that nature!

Busy day at work - involving the unveiling of the new ICT suites which a fantastic. I have heard about 200 kids say "wow" today and have really enjoyed teaching. Lovely jubbly...I'll blip it this week.

Solved a problem for a parent and their child today - which made everyone happy...not a major issue really, but parent was ready to make it into one...my diplomacy and negotiation skills worked a treat!

Year 11 assembly this afternoon with a theme of "Knowledge and Ignorance" - I managed to incorporate a number of 'rollockings' as well as a pep talk about the final exams and preparation. I usually do this pep talk at this time of year, because suddenly the time slips away from the kids before they realise it...the look on the faces of 140 teenagers is priceless when you tell them they have just over 9 school weeks (which equates to 48 school days, or in real terms 28 lessons in each of their subjects) until they leave. And this year group is going to be another special one we think - last year's senior group achieved the best set of results for themselves, and for the school, that we had ever had. This year's seniors look set to outstrip that, by some margin too.....no pressure!

All in all, a great day.

Now must go and eat my chinese take away.

300 tomorrow ...I have a plan...must remember to take camera with me......
