Metro Pano
Sydney is growing. It has been served well for a long time by a "heavy rail" suburban commuter service, but new outlying villages are far too dependent on urban mortorways and all of the evils they entail. Rather than expand the original railway network, a new system (for Sydney at least) will be the "metro". It is quicker and (theoretically) cheaper to build. Areas previously unserviced by trains will at last have fast modern public transport, taking countless polluting cars off the road ..... at least that is the plan.
All over much of Sydney there are construction sites for metro stations. What seems to be costing more than the infrastructure, however, are massive signs advertising the project.
