Santa

Yes, Santa came early this year, as the family are heading to Auckland tomorrow. Not sure about Adam, but I've got a few missions ahead of me! In fact several, I'm also learning to fly next year ... woohoo!


In other news. The big announcement at work today. A resignation, not mine (that would be difficult), and my announcement of a new focus/direction for the business. It's bittersweet for the team. We're losing 9 years of experience and a person who has provided a great deal of support to our team. That's now back on me, but I think I'll do OK, I kind of know what we do ;-)

As some will know, we specialise in tourism in NZ. It's a great, but hard business in some respects. Demanding in terms of deliverables and expectations and tough to deliver on a budget. But we've been successful and dominate to some extent the sector.

But we also do a lot of work in the snow industry and so we're now extending that focus, with a global perspective. It feels good. It's my passion and one that offers considerably more opportunity than our current domestic focus. It's going to have some challenges, in fact a lot, but I woke up this morning more excited than maybe I have been in some time.
