Greeting the Sun

I've got yet another man cold, so I haven't been sleeping well. So, when I woke up this morning at 6 a.m., I couldn't get back to sleep. Like the seagull in the picture, I laid in bed, and pondered my morning.

"GO SEE THE SUN COME UP! GO SEE THE SUN COME UP!" So, I skipped my walk and the swim class, and met the sun.

I kept waiting for a pelican to enter my sun line, but finally had to settle on the seagull...and I'm grateful that he/she posed.

In the extras are a lingering pelican, and my daily osprey fix. Same tree...same bird?
