At the garden centre

Lots of things achieved today. Out to acquire stuff from Aldi, some mini trunking to tidy up an electrical cable and some leeks from a garden centre.

I’m trying a new method in an attempt to grow larger, thicker leeks. I’d read that once a leek seedling is the thickness of a toothpick, transplant it into a larger pot and let them grow on in the pit before finally transplant into the soil in July.

It was in the garden centre that I spotted today’s blip. An abstract Thursday submission.

Back home, after a coffee I repainted one of the recently decorated wall with a lighter shade to see if we liked the colour sufficiently to repaint the whole of the downstairs, hall and landing. See here. The jury is out.

In the afternoon, while Susan was out in the garden, planting out and sowing I was working on a training course coming up in a couple of weeks on online exploitation. Interesting but sensitive work. Thank you to Ingeborg for hosting.

We managed a walk, Susan calling in to see her mum at the end while I went home to make fish cakes and complete a batch of tea cakes using Paul Hollywood’s recipe. Turned out well.
