Happy Birthday Dad

My dad would have been an old chap if he was alive today. Unfortunately he died too soon and much too young. This is he aged 16 or 17 in a field of corn with the scythe slung easily over his shoulder. The extra shows him as a ir responsible adult, now married and with children of his own. I know this as I took the picture. He loved farming and it should have been his life but when the brickworks were looking for men at double his wage he left and spent the next 35 years there.
