Lord of the lawn

We went up to Whitbarrow again! This time to walk Rob’s butterfly transects as the wind had finally dropped. It was still rather cool and we didn’t see much, but it was a good walk.
Back home Mr and Mrs Pheasant were strolling around the lawn picking up some bird seed and generally looking like they own the place. I am hoping for chicks, though we have never seen any in past years.
