Charlotte’s Wed
Lovely may be an over-used word but it fits the bill today. You could certainly see and feel the love and the many connections. Oh and radiant. I don’t care if it’s a cliche, the bride had mega lumens of it. It was a sunny day and the 12th century church was way beyond pretty. Oh and by way of a bonus, the vegan food was first class.
The bride was late, the groom dropped the ring (it didn’t ‘alf ching on that 12th century stone floor), and the wind blew in true April fashion. I was given a dancing lesson by a very gushy man I’d never met before, admired the bow tie of a member of the US navy, had my picture taken wearing a fez, snogged TSM on the disco floor, and was lectured on the superiority of female hair styles in 1970s niche film industry productions by a very drunken uncle. There was a man in a kilt (there is always one, even if he comes from Croydon) a cast member from Game Of Thrones (he denied it but I am sure he was Feon Greyjoy) and a beautiful clear night with stars spiralling around a crescent moon when we drove home. Sober by the way. Didn’t touch a drop of alcohol all day and had a fab time.
Excellent day. Congrats Charlotte and Ben. Couldn’t happen to two nicer people.
