Today's the day ………………………. for the sweet box

I make no apologies for another flower blip (well perhaps to BernardPoet because I know they don't do anything for him!) - as that's where we spend most of our time these days.

And what a treat it is, to potter about in this lovely weather, doing what the fancy takes you to make this garden our own.  Of course, Will's doing the hard manual labour stuff - but then he likes that.  I'm messing about with actual plants, making a herb garden and planting up tubs.  There are frequent stops for coffee/tea/lunch - and lots of places in this garden to sit and partake.

This very fragrant little shrub is right behind one of the benches - and the perfume of its small flowers is intoxicating.  It's a member of the 'box' family - and known as sweet box …………………….
