Amalanchier
One of a number of bare root trees we bought shortly after moving in here for £1 each on a special offer. It grew in a pot for a couple of years, then we planted it out near the house. But it was being squashed by other vigorous shrubs, so early this year we transplanted it to our "woodland area".
Despite this disruption, it is now flowering generously and attractively - apparently it had flowered a little in the old position, but due to the bulky stuff around it, I had never really noticed it.
It has been bright and sunny today, but with a very chilly wind. W is busy clearing around the raised beds and preparing the area for pavers. I went to the gym, and am having a day off from gardening today.
