An armful of wombats!
I’m delighted to introduce my blip buddies to William, Claudia and their Wombat Mum, Anna. These two beautiful little rascals were orphans until they were blessed to be taken in to be cared for by Anna a few short months ago. It’s a very familiar story in Australia, where a baby Wombat may well survive after their Mother is killed on the road. It’s angels like Anna that give them a second chance.
We had the great joy of taking our granddaughters and CCN’s son down to meet William and Claudia and they were given the opportunity to feed the little Wombats with their afternoon bottle of special baby wombat milk. I couldn’t help but think how lucky they were. How many children in Australia would be given the chance to share that experience. We were thrilled that our blip buddy trisharooni was able to join us and if you head over to her journal tonight you will see three great images from our visit. We only have Sid and the girls with us for another couple of days so every moment will be precious. Oh, and by the way, what do you take to a party like this - 5 kg’s of sweet potatoes of course :). What a HAPPY, HAPPY day on so many levels.
