Comfort food

I spent so long catching up on myself today - a big supermarket shop, three loads of washing out on the line, emails to see to - that I couldn't bear the thought of a laborious meal. This seemed perfect for a sunny afternoon which had turned warm enough to sit out in a sheltered spot - pasta, with the sauce made from three deconstructed pork sausages, half a red pepper, an onion, two fat cloves of garlic, and a good dollop of chilli and tomato pesto out of a (superior) jar. Oh - and some parsley I'd just bought. It was spicy and delicious and set me up for choir.

...from which I'm just in. As the schools are on holiday this week, over half the members are away, and the four of us that turned up to sing worked our socks off for 90 minutes. And now I need more food ...
