Volunteers

The floral displays at the entrance to the village are planted and looked after by a small group of volunteers.

I think you will agree that they do a first class job.

An apology, because I like to get things right. The bird with a long bill in extras yesterday was not, as I said, a Snipe. It was in fact a Black tailed Godwit.

I am grateful to a friend who sent me a very nicely worded email to point out my error.
