A quick visit to friends in Germany to lots of door based jokes about whether I'm sure I want to go out. Still going through the blue channel at passport control. This supermarket chain was my favourite when I first lived in Germany as it was least unlike home. X years on and everyone's using Aldi and Lidl. I'd happily take back the Lindt pick and mix stand though. Chocolate heaven. Lovely dinner at a little Italian called La Botte in Frankfurt as well as sloe gin with Prosecco. New and old favourites on the same day.
