Cactus bloom

A beautiful, sunny day

This morning I went to visit a friend in hospital. Actually, we met in the heart Ward of the Hospital three years ago and have become firm friends ever since, meeting fortnightly for coffee and a roll in a local Cafe.

Sadly, he has been very unwell since December and has been in hospital for over three months. He has developed cancer but can’t get treatment for it because of various infections. He was very depressed and weak, I even had to feed him the small amount of lunch he ate.

We have our granddaughters with us for the school holidays, although the older one has studies in preparation for her first Higher exam at the end of the month.

Our cactus has come out again in time for Easter and I thought it would bring a touch of beauty to my Blip.
