Advent Challenge: Acting like an elf

Day 18 of anuk's challenge.

This illuminated, inflatable Santa has become something of a feature of Christmas over the last few years. It sits on the roof of a pub, next to the London to Peterborough railway line and provides amusement for railway passengers as well as locals. It was even reported in one of the national newspapers last year when, in windy conditions, it was said to have caused some damage to the roof - although I seem to recall the pub saying that the damage was minimal. In any case, this large decoration is quite prominent.

Santa's elves, however, are nowhere to be seen. I strongly suspect that they are enjoying a well deserved drink inside the pub, because I am sure that is how elves act.
