Purge to Clean

In order to clear the buildup of too-much-stuff in the kitchen so I can see the cupboards for the crumbs, I cleared out a lot of excess dishes, napkin rings, serving platters, and sentimental space takers from the dining room buffet. Now the kitchen excess is in the buffet; that makes sense, doesn't it? The upshot is that I filled the car and took it all to Goodwill, and what a fine accomplishment that was. The mister was out, so I didn't even have to watch him wring his hands or protest; I don't think he'll ever miss any of it.
