Virgin of the Goldfinches

Inspired by Shaamie's blip yesterday, I took a photo of 'Virgin of the Goldfinches.'It is a painting by Clive Hicks- Jenkins showing the Annunciation.
I'm afraid my photo does not do it justice, but I'm sure you can see how bright the acrylic colours are.The goldfinches are an ancient symbol used in Christian art.
I particularly like the Angel Gabriel's shoes.
