Taking Their Tern

It was such a beautiful day today (sorry to be rubbing it in) that I went for a walk along the beach during my free period before lunch.

My lovely lab tech Carmen came along and we spent a very pleasant half hour in the warm sun. The bars and chiringuitos are closed for the winter, but there were a few people sunbathing and a few more walking their dogs.

These little chaps were the only ones brave enough to venture into the water.

Tomorrow is the end of term. We start the day with the Polar Bear Challenge which is a 3 km race up into the campa and back, followed by a length of the school pool. I have volunteered to be a marshal!!

This madness is followed by some mulled wine (at 8:30 in the morning!!) and then a few lessons of sorts, an extended lunch and then final assembly.

Then in the evening, we have the staff gala dinner at La Playa restaurant in La Cala, walking distance for me!
