Puebla Tunnels

We had a great day exploring the city of Puebla including a visit to a Talavera shop that gave us a guided tour on how genuine Talavera is manufactured (it is all done by hand). The highlight from my perspective, however, was a trip through the recently (2017) discovered tunnels. It is believed there is six miles of tunnels beneath the city of Puebla that connect the various churches with the fort on the hill. The city has opened one stretch for visitors. I had to hustle to arrive before the 4:00 pm closing, but once inside I had all the time in the world to explore these cool (literally) tunnels.
