Photo Fail!
Wow, what a bad day for photos.
Whilst sat listening to all the wonderful things I could be involved in at the Beltane Open meeting, I saw what I wanted to photograph for today.
Now the first problem arose when "photopoint" were stood right underneath what I wanted to photograph, not the best time to pull out my tiny little not at all fancy point and click digital camera. Then low level lighting and shaky hands combined against me so I couldn't get a nice shot of it. (Hence the blurred shot above, it was going to look so much better in my head)
Wandered off to attempt to take photos of other interesting things but yet again, light levels and hands proved too much of a problem. Fair enough, I figure I'll get a nice shot at the pub.
Pubs and my camera do not mix well. Every shot was blurred or grainy. I did get one good shot but it was of a combined plate of chips and required the subject to be still and needed a makeshift table tripod. Given how the evening conspired against my photos, it didn't feel right to use the in focus photo.
So home time came and walking down the road, I happened to mention a photo idea I had. One thing led to another and I'm climbing over a mesh fence to attempt to use a bollard as a tripod. Realising there was actually a tree blocking the shot I wanted I went to hop back over. That was the point I caught my jeans and ripped a huge hole in the leg! Not just any jeans though, my favourite ones! Absolutely gutted.
No good photos and down a pair of jeans.
Things I learnt today:
Low light is not my friend.
Neither are my hands.
People with big cameras think I'm weird.
I mustn't climb fences/walls/other inanimate objects just to get the perfect shot if I'm wearing nice clothes.
I need to borrow a better camera to get the shot I want.
I've also backblipped to Thursday.
