Baby leaves

I love how new leaves almost glow,
before bug can nibble
or cobweb smother,
before wind can rip
or mud can dribble:
Nature must be a proud mother.

Didn't place a bet, but I did find myself gasping with delight at seeing Tiger Roll win the Grand National for the second year running. First horse to do so since Red Rum 42 years ago! All the front runners looked so focused, all trying their very best, bless them.
