Opticians

The only commitment today was to take Mum to the optician’s for a check up and new glasses. She’s had her cataracts replaced and had injections in one eye for the wet type of macular degeneration which has halted the deterioration in that eye.

The left one has no been found to have the dry type of macular degeneration, which hasn’t really got any way of remedying although the optician said that green veg does help the eyes and she doesn’t eat any broccoli or kale or cabbage etc. So there you go - eat yer greens folks!

Here she was choosing new glasses and as she couldn’t see well when they were on I took a pic to show her what they were like.

Afterwards we went to Kisa and she had their delicious empire biscuits and I was virtuous and only had a flat white! I’m 10lbs down in my regime and keeping it up .
