Happy our foreigners who have made great efforts to learn Japanese and to join our company, have enjoyed the dinner party among the young colleagues this evening.

I do understand that adopting into a different culture is quite difficult. So I tried to make them more comfortable by taking them for drinks and introducing them to more Japanese colleagues.

I think drinking does loosen everyone (especially the shy Japanese) and creates a more enjoyable and friendly atmosphere to have a chat and get to know each other despite the language capabilities.
They should have more opportunities to get to know the Japanese culture and how things are done in Japan.
