Friday: Frank's Café
K. and I needed to have at least one greasy spoon breakfast while we were here - turns out that 'Frank's Café', reputedly London's best greasy spoon, was pretty nearby. Mind you, there are about 50 other caffs claiming to be London's best. 'Frank's' was pretty fine though, and very traditional. We both had bacon, eggs, beans, chips, bread and butter, as well as mugs of tea for £12.70 for the two. Bargain!
The issue of whether chips belong on a fried breakfast is a contentious one. Personally, I think they do - as only that way can you have that finest of foods, the chip butty!
From there, it was time to pick up our luggage and head to the airport. It's been a very short stay in London - we are now up in Newcastle, visiting family.
As always with my family up here, it's been a hilarious first night.
