Worked most of the day down at the Santa Catalina Mission.
I'm the caretaker of 20 bronze religious sculptures.
They are placed inside a one acre meditation garden.
The statues collect dust and debris like a magnet.
It's my job to clean them and keep them looking nice.
It takes me an hour or more to do the maintenance on just one.
I began cleaning them on Friday and should be done Wednesday.
It is very satisfying work, because when I done they are beautiful.
Unfortunately a toothbrush is a necessary tool, lots of crevices.
By days end, my hands and fingers are very weak and tired.
So it's a miracle I was able to hold the camera for this photograph.
We have a very large variety of desert plants at the Mission.
I really love looking at this agave, and have photographed it before.
