Greystones

Got absolutely soaked today! I went on a U3A walk from Lower Slaughter to Bourton-on-the-Water, including the Greystones nature reserve. We had a brief period of respite from the rain and cold when we stopped off at the replica Iron Age roundhouse. On our way there I jokingly asked if we could light a fire but to my surprise there was already one there (main blip). The extra shows the external view.

A few of the less hardy members of the walking group skipped the actual walk and just met up with us for lunch at the hotel in Lower Slaughter. The hotel was teeming with people dressed in period costume as they are currently filming a new version of Emma in the village. One room was full of rather elegant girls and ladies, extras I assumed sitting patiently waiting for their scene. It would have made a good blip as they sat there reading or looking at their phones, but I didn't have my camera with me then, and wasn't brave enough to ask anyway.
