First a Dive...Then Eat it Alive

Again today, this snowy egret was not begging the incoming fishermen for their unused bait...she was working the seashore.

I was watching the water, and it was full of minnows. But evidently, minnows were not enough for Gertrude here. She was waiting for a bigger fish, and when one appeared...she pounced.

It took her awhile to position her catch just right, but when she did...her catch she did dispatch...and natch, her catch went down the hatch.
