Black Grass

The mystery of the yellow flag was solved today.

A whole corner of the field had been sprayed to kill the black grass and prevent it from spreading, which is apparently a real problem for farmers due to its have developed a resistance to selective herbicides.  (Martin and I watched a programme about it last night: Food Unwrapped).
