The enduring quality of wood

The merchant adventurers hall in York. The hall is the largest timber framed medieval guild hall in the world, and was built over a five year period, starting in 1357. I liked the relationship between the ancient timber frame and the relatively modern tree. As ever taken on iPhone whilst on my way to a meeting!
