Precious
Grandad flew in from Derry to stay with us for Christmas. He did not come last year and it was not the same.
The children watched his flight from Liverpool all the way over Stoke, Telford, Edgbaston and practically cheered as it landed. This was courtesy of flight radar on the web.
Then DD facetimed Daddy to let him know grandad has landed so BIL could walk in and collect him.
The wonders of modern technology. I can remember my Dad telling me about CDs and that a little circular mirror would be able to play music. I laughed and thought he was a bit crazy.
I also led singing club in our Christmas concert. We sang a Jingle Bells/our House mash up which was fun and then sing/signed Imagine. That bought me to tears especially in light of the American school tragedy. One of those little boys was a day older than my oldest son. Just heart rending.
Anyway the school gave me a gorgeous bunch of flowers. Which also made me cry as it was a very public thank you.
They also had the ukuleles delivered and there are two gorgeous red ones. I am tempted to swap it for my own. I covet a fellow blippers red uke and up close and personal they are even lovelier.
