Into the light

We were in Oxford for 9 and talking to the Consultant at 915. He said let's try a steroid injection with ultra sound today. Fantastic says I and we go to Radiology. They use the ultra sound to pinpoint the exact spot for the needle and are seconds away from giving me the injection. “Haemophilia !” someone says, we can't do this procedure without Factor8 cover.

Back to see the consultant who tells me it's not going ahead. He's spoken to his boss who thinks that physio is the answer. I do my best to persuade him that the injection is the best way cos we are desperate. But he sticks with his instructions. I say what if the physio doesn't work, he says we may give you the injection. Why couldn't he have done both???

Home now knowing a little more than we did previously. The injury is too old for an operation to be successful and the tear is huge. It has affected the way I hold my shoulder by raising the shoulder blade up so I am unlevel - I guess because of the pain.

So.... Waiting for physio again... Bugger.!

Fine and dry on the way in and dark and wet on the way home..

Need chocolate....

Thanks everyone for the welcome back and for the stars and hearts for Alice.

One extra today which if you look carefully has a horse. A tractor, and a Jet Provost T5A aircraft. Spotted at a farm on way home taken thru window at 60mph.
