Walker Creek

Today we drove all day. After a terrible night of sleep (?) Arvin and I joined the bros for a drive from Carson City to Las Vegas. We took a route with smaller, older highways that was very scenic. We drove through Smith Canyon where the Walker River runs. This canyon was between Smith Canyon and Greene Canyon. We stopped at Mina for lunch at a great little place with a boat as the entrance. I had an amazing grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and tomatoes. I probably ate a year's supply of cholesterol, but it was worth it. Mmmm. We saw amazing clouds and hills covered in snow along the way. Also icy creeks and a dry lake or two and one large wet one. The trip took ten hours and we got to Emmett and Jennifer's around seven. It was so great to see them and Bailey Grace. We had a lovely evening together and then headed over to Dave's condo to settle in. Arvin and I are both totally exhausted and plan a quiet day tomorrow.
