Char Koay Teow

Pronounced Char kwai chow. I discovered this dish in Mangos Chinese Restaurant in Newcastle about 15 years ago. I ordered the wrong dish and this massive plate of fried flat Ho Fan noodles in chilli paste arrived. Bound into the noodles was cha siu pork, king prawns, spring onion and egg - beautiful taste. Then Mangos closed and I searched for the dish which turned out to be Malaysian and here we are, Michael, Carol and I feasting on them. In Selangor, a suburb of KL.
