Zoo

Had a small job outside Dalkeith in the morning and afterwards L and I went to the zoo to finally take advantage of our memberships. Very good lunch in the restaurant and then just in time to see the Penguin Parade (just four felt up for it today - what would aliens make of it - the larger creatures assembled to watch the presumably superior black and white beings processing between them). Watched the penguins underwater, saw some bored looking chimps, some much more 'active' gibbons and then the meerkats before heading home. The advantage of the membership that you can pop in and see a few animals and not feel you have to see everything at once.
