Brockholes

Slept ok, but got a beltin cough!!

Hub has been out with his mates today, so after dropping him off at the Bus Station to get the V1 into Manchester, I parked up, had a little pootle in the shops, then went for a coffee whilst I formulated a plan of action for my day.

Its been cold, damp and overcast, but despite that, I decided on my first visit to Brockholes nature reserve near Preston. As I arrived it started to rain, so I headed straight for the visitors centre and restaurant, you can see this in extras. Another jacket potato with tuna, and a cup of tea....and after about 45 mins te rain stopped , so off I went to explore!

Donned my walking shoes, walked the circular route along the banks of the River Ribble, then cut back along one of the footpaths. Saw lots of birds, a little deer and some nice views, see extras :-) Clocked up 11k steps so that was good.

The main blip is the reflective sign on "The Look Out" building, which has a full glass front overlooking the reed beds........with some woman reflected back in it ;-))

Back home now, have to get weighed tonight, not overly optimistic but we shall see! All the cold remedies have far too much sugar in them.....have tried to avoid them, but now the cough medicine has taken over from the throat lozengers :-/
