Beautiful Dartmoor

I had organised myself better today and after the early dog walk, headed up to the moor in the hope of capturing it's beauty for the Wide Wednesday Challenge, hosted kindly by BobsBlips.
I set off in sunshine but by the time I had parked at Haytor it was snowing.
 For a more dramatic photo I decided to drive on to Princetown, home of the famous Dartmoor Prison
Dartmoor has a rugged beauty.The hardy ponies roam free across the open land and are completely wild.
This group were very tolerant and allowed me to get quite close.
Next month the mares will be giving birth to beautiful foals so let's hope this is the last of the cold weather.
