Seasalt window

We needed to pop into town today to have Miss Tilly’s glasses mended. She is quite hard on these things and it’s difficult for her parents to get there!
We don’t often go into town and it’s clear that lots of other people don’t go. The high street was empty at a time of day you would expect more people. I’m afraid that parking in town has probably put people off. Guernsey has free parking and the honesty system of setting a clock in your car to say what time you arrived.
The zones are 30 min, 1hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 5 hours and 10 hours. Usually the longer the stay the further it is to the centre. The parking areas are usually completely full with office workers from about 8 am and so it puts most people off going into town.
We noticed how hard some shops try very hard to attract customers. We rather liked this hand painted bouquet in Seasalt’s window..
