Cladonia diversa

Yesterday - there were a lot of great facts in my April 1st blip. You just need to decide which bits they were. But let's just say the supermarkets aren't all powerful just yet. 

More geeking today, but I won't bore you with that..  But I couldn't resist how wonderfully vibrant this fine specimen was.

To give an idea of scale the largest red ascomata in this shot is about 2mm across and probably contains hundreds of thousands spores. 

But mainly it just looks ace.
