The end result of the costume making last week; tonight was the first performance of the school play and it was brilliant! A retelling of A Christmas Carol set in a school with a miserly headmaster.

Lidl are normally excellent for Christmas food: lebkuchen, stollen, panettonne but when I went on Saturday they'd been stripped bare! I did get some mince pies that were actually very good; clearly the best so far. Let's hope they get some stock back in before the end of the week; I'm not sure I can go without stollen or industrial quantities of marzipan. Marzipan kartoffeln anyone?
