Wildboar Clough - View West.

Well more fool me: I climbed up to the top of the Longdendale valley thinking I might see a few birds on the way or even up high.

There were Red Grouse of course, a Wren or two and a few Meadow Pipits BUT I walked to the full length of the Wood below and saw or heard no birds  ZERO!   The Wood looked like it was still Winter - it is on a North facing hillside. It was midday so perhaps they were on a dinner break.
