First Taste
(back blip)
I've been wondering where all the Gila woodpeckers have been. Haven't seen nor heard them all summer. It was the first day my brother (Reno Andy) was here. He looked out the window and asked what kind of bird was eating the orange. There he was. The orange must have been pretty dry because it fell backwards on the point of the dead cholla so he's at a weird angle. But I was able to snag a shot of his razor-like tongue.
The hooded orioles are back! I saw an orange mle beauty while we were eating breakfast on the patio. Can't wait to photograph some this summer.
Gardening Tip:
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
