Reflections (on the Fife circle)
Clocks change, sun rises, birds sing. Dozy heads prepare for a slightly tarnished day of travel.
Claire gets behind the driving wheel of Ang’s car and we set off (with Holly) for Edinburgh. I inherit the responsibility at Durham and get us to Waverley.
Still sunny, Holly heads for Glasgow, Ang for Haddington, and we for the Canny Man. It’s full of old, drunk, loud Morningsiders behaving badly - but their Bloody Mary is just what we needed.
Cheryl joins us and we head for the Dominion to watch The Vanishing. Great acting, great cinematography, great scripting, but a frankly unbelievable spin on the lighthouse story.
A taxi takes us to Haymarket, a train to Kinghorn. The flat is dusty (floor sanding & plastering), but is looking good. A bowl of pasta lulls me to sleep.
