Poplars Waiting for Leaves

These four-year-old hybrid poplars are waiting for leaves to sprout. Same with the other deciduous trees in the area. But the food news is that with below freezing nights and above freezing days we are enjoying perfect maple syrup weather. Should be a bumper crop this spring.
The ads for these fast-growing hybrid poplars are true. They are amazing additions to the landscape.  No maple syrup from them, of course.
