Long anticipated......

I last caught this beautiful moth, The Pine Beauty Panolis flammea, nearly six years ago on April 25th 2013, so as you can imagine I was very happy to find it in my trap on Saturday morning.
It is listed as common, but I have certainly not found this to be the case here in West Sussex.
Sadly despite my going out to find fir cones to photograph it on, the moth refused to play the game, and I had to resort to using my trusty bamboo mat :-(
