Cutting Back

I captured this shot outside our local sorting Office, while I was waiting for it to reopen after lunch. Nothing much more I can add to that.
I was quite amazed at the number of people that turned up at the sorting office bearing cards for underpaid postage. It seems a lot of us out there are still sending out Christmas cards and not affixing the correct postage. It appears the Post Office changed its rules on the cost of postage to account for the size of the letter and not its weight.
The general consensus of the group was that the average charge to be paid before they got their hands on their mail was around £1.19p, which broke down to 19 pence-the short fall in postage and £1.00 in handling fees.
Talk about Good Will at Christmas.
