Meeting places

I had a great catch up with a friend in the Wellcome Cafe this morning. She lives in London and she came to meet me just close to Euston station. Another friend had suggested this cafe, and it was perfect. Great modern lines, plenty of space......and various exhibitions to explore on a future occasion.

Last night’s play was brilliant. Cillian Murphy is quite exceptional. He played the bereaved father (and the crow) in “Grief is the thing with Feathers” with such presence, strength and clarity. 90plus minutes, no interval, unrelenting emotion and power. Plus, the poetic lines with such dark beauty. unforgettable.

I confess I didn’t have such high expectations of this gorgeous Irish actor ( in Peaky Blinders) But he was a revelation.
