Sparkly ice fun at the top of the world

What a day! An early start and waved goodbye to my floating home on the high seas. Then I was whisked off to what felt like Narnia, the Snow Hotel in Kirkenes. I had a fabulous morning snowshoeing along a frozen fjord, some cross country skiing, a guided tour and talk about how the snow hotel is made, cooked reindeer sausages over an open fire, fed the (alive...for now ;) reindeer, had a drink in the ice bar, went for a night hike to see the amazing clear skies (no light pollution here) then zipped myself up in a sleeping bag for a good nights sleep at minus 4 in my unique stunningly sculpted ice hotel room. Best day ever!!
