Bingo, Blossoms and Baseball

Arthur played bingo in the park with many people from the neighbourhood in the morning. We had the fourth card to get bingo and we won a bath towel.

In the afternoon I went to Koshien Stadium and watched two games in the Spring High School Baseball tournament. I sat through several downpours of rain and got very cold, but it was worth it to watch Akashi Commercial High School play Chiben Wakayama. Chiben were the favourites and they played a tough game, but Arthur and I were rooting for Akashi because they are a Hyogo team. Akashi's first hit was a home run. From the fifth inning onward they were tied at three points each and neither team were able to break that tie with a single point until, at the bottom of the ninth, Akashi scored a sayonara  home run.

Arthur and I are hoping that Akashi will win the tournament.

The extra is an Akashi player.

PS - Ignore the terrible reviews for Tim Burton's Dumbo. I went to see it last night. While not a classic like the original, and not such a tear-jerker, it's solid entertainment and, as you would expect from Tim Burton, a visual feast.
