Alert fire

Yes, not a fire alarm but an alert fire.
This fires in combination with saluting guns were used in former times (Romans at the Limes) to warn quickly before enemies. 
Now they revived this tradition "Lärmfeuer" in the Odenwald.
Normally you should be able to watch several fires along the hills, but we could only recognize one in the village near Hippelsbach, where we, T. , Omo and me joined the fire. It was fun nevertheless :-)
